Urakami Cathedral - Nagasaki, Nagasaki Prefecture

About 10 minutes walk from Matsuyama-machi Station Nagasaki Electric Railway.

There is Nagasaki Peace Park between Urakami Cathedral and Matsuyama-machi Station. Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum is also nearby.

Urakami Cathedral
Stained glass in the cathedral is very beautiful.
The current cathedral was built in 1959. The first cathedral was built was the largest in East Asia, was destroyed by the atomic bomb in 1945. There was a distance of 500m from the hypocenter, a statue of a saint, and some remain.
